Mt Vic Flicks

Khadmin was 17 years old when he started filming on his mobile phone.

The Staging Post follows two Afghan Hazara refugees, Muzafar and Khadim. Stuck in Indonesia after Australia ‘stopped the boats’ and facing many years in limbo, they built a community and started the school which inspired a refugee education revolution.
A real-life, real-time, multi-platform documentary. The Staging Post is about friendship, connection and the power of community.

The Staging Post will be shown at Mt Vic Flicks on 19th June, which is during Refugee Week.

The Director, Jolyon Hoff and Mazafar Ali an Afghan refugee, featured in the film now settled in Adelaide, will be here for a Q&A.

They will also be visiting and talking to some of the 30 schools we have donated the film to in the Hawkesbury, Nepean and Blue Mountains.

Time: 6.30 for a 7 pm start.

Cost: $15
