The program titled Sitting for Wendy will be on COMPASS ABC TV Sunday 21 June 6.30pm about Wendy Sharpe’s Asylum Seeker Project.

The following information comes from the ABC website,

Sitting For Wendy
Archibald prize-winning artist Wendy Sharpe draws portraits of 39 asylum seekers as they share their powerful stories of survival and integration.
Each portrait is completed in a single session lasting two to three hours and in this time Wendy’s subjects talk to her about themselves, their homes, careers, where they came from and often – the families they’ve left behind. For Wendy, these stories are revelatory and inspiring; and for those being portrayed, both the process and the finished artwork recognise their hopes, dreams and shared humanity
Hope you can see it!
Also on repeat Monday 22 June 11:30am (Rpt)
and on iview afterwards.
